2009 clk 550
seat problem

hey guys i need some help. i have a 09 clk 550 conv. the passenger seat has an issue. when i try to bring it forward to let out the rear passengers it stays stuck. the release lever goes up fine but i have to yank it pretty hard for it to release. what can i do? thanx in advanced.

Try pushing down on the seat as you lift the handle. Mine does this, too, and I've gotten quite good and doing this quickly with one hand in a smooth motion. One day, I'll take the time to see what the problem is (likely a misaligned cable or cam). It's not a big deal, though, as I almost never have rear seat passengers - there are few people I despise enough to subject them to riding back there. I just occasionally fold the seat forward to get to an umbrella that has fallen under the seat or for cleaning.
