245/40R17 all the way around?

Hello... New to the forum and tried searching, but didn't find anything specific to a CLK350 regarding the following.

I have 17x7.5 rims up front and 17x8.5 rims in the back of my 08 CLK 350 and it's time for new tires. Has anyone tried running 245/40R17's on all four corners using the stock rims? Currently the stock ones are 225/45R17's up front.

Is there any issue with this? Any pro's and con's would be greatly appreciated as well as actual experinces.

Thanks

I did it with snows. Obviously I wasn't blasting through corners, but I didn't notice any difference.

Thanks... Saw the wheel and tire thread after I posted. Wound up going with the stock setup of 245/40R17's on the back and 225/45/17's on the front. Gonna purchase some new wheels and tires for the summer and use this setup going forward for the winter.

Thanks again!
