722.9 Transmission Service
Have a 208 CLK350 with 38K miles ready for service. This has what I believe to be the 722.9 7-speed Transmission.
The dealer didn't have a friggin clue what I was talking about, but I wasn't speaking to a mechanic but some service rep bureaucrat.
What do I tell them that I need to have done when I go in? What are the specifics? What else should I have done to the car?
The chick was telling me all I need is a Service A. Wrong!
I just got the white car completely detailed by myself and polished the headlight covers to perfection.

Umm, it's in the Maintenance Manual - Page 50. if you don't have one, get yours here:

Also, make sure they drain the torque converter. There is at least one thread here where we have the WIS (MBZ's official Workstation Information System) documentation. There have been a few cases where they dealership mechanics got "confused" and did not realize the 722.9 had the TQ drain (probably because it was discontinued on the 722.6 back in MY2000).
