What's your longest one driver-one day drive??

I recently moved to Tucson from Houston. I did 780 miles from Houston to Las Cruces (What a great place). No complaints averaged 72 mph with gas stops and construction and got 23 mpg.

Who else has stories?

I did about 800 miles Atlanta to Philadelphia, two quick gas stops. Let's just say the roads were pretty empty

Chicago - Houston on my E55, done in just over 15 hrs (including 1 hour I was arrested and let go because of speeding), 1,090 miles from my brother in law's house to mine.

Houston - Miami on my Suburban in 19 hours, 1,150 miles, with the whole family in the truck

Reno - Houston ~2,300 miles in 35 hours (including 3 hours of sleeping time) on a 96 Impala SS (this actually means more than 1 day, but it was done as one shot drive.

All of these have been single driver with no help from the wife.

From Chicago (skookie) to Mound City county (18 miles before the state ends on 57) I did it in 4 hours, I was clocked at 126 on a 65 (I told my story at the begining of the year when I was charged $1,160 dlls for that ticket )

Anyway, I was arrested, and the police officer asked me if I had $300.00 cash I could post bond, I did have the money with me so he let me go (he did write the bond amount on the ticket, he didn't keep that money to himself)

I was driving upto that point at 140 mph for the most (except when I left Chicago 9:00 am, traffic was kind of bad for a while.

Little Rock to Tucson AZ straight. Also, Austin to Nashville non stop. Hope, AR...birthplace of Clinton, has the dirtiest gas station bathroom!
