Since the dealer is not budging from MSRP on an '04 500 Coupe.

Do what I did. Find all the dealers in your area, build your car on the net and fax it to all of them. I faxed 6 different dealers within hours I had half of them come back with at least 2% off MSRP (about $1,000). My sticker was $50,200 got the car for $48,200 when you add up ll the stuff they threw in to seal the deal. Every little bit helps.

So did the dealer knock off $2000 or the value of the "freebies" add up to $2000? Just curious.

it was a total of $2,000 after the free bees and what not. We got rubber floormats ($80), The invisible bra on the front ($4??), and a CD changer ($2??). I don't remember the exact prices right now but My wife and I were shooting for the $2,000 and wouldn't talk until we got there. There was a dealer in CA and AZ that had killer quotes and that helped.

Good for you

I was just wondering if you could get competitive quotes in New Mexico alone. We are lucky here in Cali. The first dealer I stepped into already offered to knock off $1500 cash within minutes of sitting down in his office. That's before I even test drove the car.
