Question Dual radiator fan assembly question :-)

I have a 2000 CLK 430 with front sight front grill damage. I am in the process of ordering a front bumper and grill repair. In the meantime the only issue is two small horn looking devices in front of the dual radiator fans between the front grill and the fans. One of these horn looking parts is slightly impacting the dual radiator fan blade which is in front of the radiator when the fan engages (as in stop and go traffic. (1) what is the horn like part, what should be its orientation since it pivots on a screw and nut. Anyone familiar with this part and its purpose is it the Horn lol. Please help. I live in El Centro and it get hot as hell here so I need to address this for the air condition and the car to cool properly. THANKS!!!!

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I believe those are the horns. They should face forward and not be bent back into the fans. BTW, you have a W208, so you might try that forum as you might get people more knowledgeable of your specific model.

Thanks a lot Rodney I will direct my question to that group. Its the little things that get you. I remember changing the plugs on my past s500 feeling good only to while changing the wiper blades drop the spring load wiper onto my windshield without the wiper blade attached accidentally and chipping/cracking the windshield, lol
