DIRECT BOLT ON UPGRADES
Hello, I just picked up a 2003 clk500 and would like to do some tasteful upgrades all around, interior & exterior. I'm looking for things that would be a direct bolt on and would not require any customization. I would like to upgrade the following:
steering wheel....I would like the amg kind
airbox......
ecu upgrade.....
radio head unit.....I would like a gps
and anything else that you guys could suggest.

Hm the steering wheel will cost you a lot. You can look for someone selling theirs ( very rare ) or buy straight from factory (very expensive)
The ecu upgrade your also looking to spend a couple hundred depending on the company you choose.
The command you'll also have to buy off someone probably.
I would suggest getting the quad setup first and some wheels. Really enhances the look of the car. Also the front cf lip. There a guy on here selling like 4 for 100 each.

If you are going to upgrade the radio to NAV, I'd go aftermarket. It will be a little bit of extra work because there is no analog speaker wiring in the dash - you'll have to run them yourself to the trunk to tie into the speaker outputs at the Bose amp. But even doing that and adding the extra components for steering wheel controls, you can get a great system with NAV, Bluetooth, iPod/MPS player interface and decent power for less than half what all of that would cost you with factory equipment.
