Chirping Sound CLK350
For the past 2 days in the morning when I turn on my car I hear a moderate sound of chirping coming from my engine. After I drive it for about 20 minutes it is gone.
What could it be?

Does it sound like it's coming from the dash, or the engine itself? On the very front of the engine is an air pump that runs right after start until it reaches a certain temperature. This electric motor can chirp when its bearing start to go bad. If it's coming more from the dash, it could be the ventilation fan. When its bearing go bad, it can also chirp.

I also have the same chirping sound accompanied by an electrical like ticking.
The chirping I believe is coming from a bad bearing as the fellas have stated, but it could also be the bearing on the coolant pump. Good luck!

If you suspect it's a pulley bearing, and easy way to narrow it down is to (carefully!) spray some WD-40 onto the pulley bearing as it runs to see if it quiets down (try not to get it on the belt, though).
