Fuel Injectors

Need some help in replacing my injectors that have a slight "tick" to them. Was wondering if there is a suggestion on replacement and maybe a high performance item to replace them.

Also are they an easy DIY item to do?

Thanks

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Are you having any issues besides some noise? Injectors on these engines rarely fail. Noise can be a sign of a problem, or it can just be "noise".

Just a clicking sound. I was told from the mechanic that this was the source of the ticking sound?

injectors are made a way so they will always make some ticking sound because of the needle inside moving up and down. But how loud is the ticking? sure it isnt valve ticking?

The sound isn't loud, but the IM said he put a stethoscope and thought it were the injectors. Should I get a second opinion?

if he had to use a stethoscope, the noise level of the ticking is normal..

maybe you should take it to another garage for a second opinion?

That is how I tell they are working. Slight tick of inj is normal. You can actually feel the inj pulse with the sound.

Get 2nd opinion
