CLK 430 in the snow

Definitely not good but it can be managed. Get a set of good winter tires and drive cautiously on snow/ice.
If the weather forecast calls for heavy snow, I would put 2 winter tires (with wheels) in the trunk to improve traction.

Obviously you cannot fit two wheels and tires in that tiny trunk. You could use cement blocks, sand bags, bags of lead shot - most anything. But it only helps so much. I grew up in a snowy area before anybody heard of front wheel drive and mostly only Jeeps were four wheel drive. There is an art to driving a rear wheel drive car in snow. But sometimes it cannot be done. The difference between my car and my son's Audi A4 Quattro is a joke.

I have a coupe and I have put 2 winter tires/wheels in my trunk. Mind you that my winter tires are 16-inch.
I don't think putting cement blocks is a good idea. If you make a sharp turn, the cement block will slide and may hit and damage your trunk lining. Salt is also no good because if the bag breaks, the salt will go anything in the trunk and salt will definitely promote rust.
I used to have a cat and I did try cat litter (2 x 50 lb) and it worked great.
