Ios7 and iPod controls
So I updated my ipad to ios7 now I can not control the songs from the steering wheel. I also noticed the same thing with my Bluetooth headphones and my ipad.
Guess now it's time for a audio overhaul , I have all the components minus the head unit...thinking about doing a nexus install, or a android head unit

Yep, that's exactly what I have. The screen has a big black blob on it from the heat, but otherwise it still works. As for the AUX input not working, the ipod interface overrides it. To get AUX back, you have to completely remove the iPod adapter and its wiring harness from the rear of the radio.

Hay Louie,
so what was happening was that when i plug the Ipad into the car it plays music fine. but i was unable to change tracks. this happened quite a few times.
all the sudden it works fine. it could be the new update, but i did not see any major changes in it.
well, as long as it works, still cant wait to replace the HU.

I only just learned fully how the MB iPod Integration works: The Phone answer moves into the menu tree from Home menu i.e. iPod > Playlist, Artist, Album etc.> Track Names. The Phone Hang up navigates back to the home menu. When at the level you wand, the Up and Down buttons move through the track names. When you have the one you want, press the phone answer button to select that track. Volume is controlled by the + and - buttons.
