Transmission cooler help

Hello all,

I did some search and study on the transmission coolers on the W209/W203 W211 W219 etc.. AMG and non AMG to try to understand what's the best way to upgrade the stock transmission cooler, in my case, integrated on the passanger side end tank water radiator!

I noticed that in some AMG and non AMG cars they all have the same cooler as my car, but they have an extra cooler with an "H" format thermostat that receives the oil from the gear box and then to the water radiator oil side.

I got an used CLS extra transmission cooler that I want to install on my car, but my question is, should I keep the oil flowing through the water radiator and then to the extra cooler like on the CLS or bypass it and only flow through the extra cooler?
Should this be a problem on cold days or even not enough cooling on hot days? (here I only have minimum 14F temperatures in winter and +104F in sumer)
I know AMG cars only have the "extra" cooler and no water radiator incorporated cooler, at least the recent cars.

PS: How does the "H" thermostat works, it never closes 100% when the oil it's bellow working temps 195F, the oil will allways flow through the coolers right ?

Thanks

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Why do you think you need additional cooling for your transmission oil? Are you racing? If not, the existing setup is very good.
