I have a malfunction today and the message was related to the turn signal on the left side mirror. I will buy the turn signal but have not idea how to remove it.

My car is a w209 and I did find a few videos for other MB. I watched 3 of them and they all involved removing the side mirror and the whole mirror housing. Is this true for w209 as well? Seems to be a lot of work to change a burnt lamp. I was hoping it is as easy to change as the side marker lamp.

Is there a DIY video or instructions for a w209? As for now, I don't even know how to remove the mirror.

 

The signals in the mirror housing use LEDs so the entire light assembly has to be replaced. And yes, you need to remove the whole mirror assembly to get to it.

So, the mirror first then the housing have to be removed to change the signal lights. I better drop by the dealership then.
