Hey all,

I have a pesky seat belt rattle occurring on the driver's side. Occurs mostly on rough roads when going over fissures/creases in pavement, but can occur when traveling at high speeds on highways, too.

Taken to a very respected local indy mechanic around here and they can't seem to pinpoint what it is. Bringing again tomorrow to get some more stuff done. They say that the plastic on the guides that "present" the belt is pretty flimsy.

Anyone ever have this issue and pinpoint a resolution? It's so annoying to me, I'd be willing to replace the entire assembly at this point if that will solve it.

 

So is it the presenter that rattles or something in the B pillar related to the seatbelt itself?

 

That's part of the issue - I don't think they have been able to determine the cause.

Have you found a solution in either case? I've looked at these forums and seen issues but not in W209.

It's got to be fixable, that's all I know.

 

Maybe you should get a mechanics stethoscope and see if you can locate it. I have no issues with mine.
