another winter tire question
I know there have already been a few threads on winter tires, but have another question.
I upgraded my CLK a while back to 18" tires and Carlsson wheels. I took it out for the first time in the snow this afternoon, and needless to say, the performance was less than ideal. The tail kept waggling on straightaways and going up hills was a serious challenge.
I still have my stock 16" wheels and tires. If I put those back on, would I see any improvements in the performance?
I do have another car that's front wheel drive that handles OK, but I don't want to banish the benz to the garage all winter.
So would I be OK with the 16"s, or should I break down and get a set of winter tires?
I'd appreciate your thoughts.
thanks...

Winter Tires
GET WINTER TIRES. I just used for the first time my new Pirelly 210s snow from TireRack. FANTASTIC. Car handled great in snow and ice. Never dreamed that the CLK would handle like this. Worth every penny.
