Question A/C

hey guys and gals! I just bought my 2003 CLK55 - so I have a question for all of you - is it just me or is the speed of the A/C low on these cars? it seems I can get the rear vents really good at level 4 but the front ones seems like not enough air comes thru - I couldn't remember from my 2003 320 whether this is a common issue with these cars where the A/C force sucks ... can you all share if you all feel the A/C speed is adequate? I'm in AZ and A/C is a must and if there is something hindering my A/C's performance then I need to know and get it fixed ASAP! Thanks in advance!

None for now
I have the same feeling on my car, ever since I got it. You gotta really crank it up to get the full force of the AC. But don't put it on auto, it'll sound like a jet lol

NO LONGER ACTIVE
On the rare occasions when I'm riding with the soft top closed, I just keep the AC on auto and 70F. It kicks into "Max cool" mode when needed and does just fine. Sometimes on the hottest days, stopped in traffic, it might feel just slightly warm, but that seems to be typical of R134A system.

Thanks! It just seems like my BMW 530i has colder and A/C feels stronger

I wonder if you have a fan control issue. In "max cool" mode, you really should feel and hear the fan blowing hard - much harder than your BMW's - its "max" or "recirc" mode is barely noticeable compared to MBZ's "turbo jet".

well I can hear it in MAX mode but its half the speed of my BMW's -- how do I ck if I have a fan control issue? Dealer did my PPI and didn't mention anything with the A/C

I also feel my AC is not cold enough and weak performance, any easy way to improve my AC system instead spending huge money on it?
