Hello, I have an issue with my headlights, when I start the engine the headlights seem not auto adjust, they seem to stay steady at one level, at least thats what I see, and the lighting is not convenient at night time because the headlight height level is low, does anyone know what might be wrong and how can I get that fixed?

1. There is a thread on how to adjust the sensors, front and rear.

2. I had this problem after having some work done. Did not notice the problem until months later, as I was not driving the car at night. I found that the tech had put the front sensor arm assembly back on upside down. After rotating the assembly so the elbow of the sensor arm was 180 degrees from where the tech had it, it worked/works fine.

Take a look at this parts.com diagram. https://www.parts.com/media/images/o.../5/5770290.gif

The parts labeled 1, 5, and 7 are what you will be looking for on the passenger side of the car. Part 7 connects the mechanical linkage to the torsion/sway bar.

I disconnected the "U" bolt connection to the sway bar. DO NOT DISCONNECT PART 5 FROM PART 1. I do not know the why, but during my investigation when I had the problem it was stated somewhere that you may need a STAR diag setup to reset the sensor if you disconnect these parts (sensor and actuator).

My memory is telling me that there was another elbow joint between the lower pivot connection of part 5 in the diagram and the bracket. But I may be wrong.

In any case, disconnect the bracket from the sway bar and move the pivot joint to the opposite side to where it is currently.

I believe the sensor (part 1) is reading the twist of the sway bar to generate the signal to move the headlight position.

This is easier to work on with the wheel removed, or sitting on a lift or jack stands.

If you can't locate the part from the diagram or you don't get a more detailed set of instructions from one of the gurus, I'll take a picture of mine for you. But I won't be able to do that till the end of the week or weekend.
