Service B in 30 days - oil related?

Service B in 30 days - oil related?
I have a 2005 CLK200 Kompressor. I had check engine light and now I have Service B due in 30 days.
Would this be oil related? If I try to check oil level, it doesn't let me. Just says service due.
It says in book that no need to check oil level for automatic transmission, I've checked before and it's always been fine.
It got a pretty comprehensive service last year, but not sure if it was Service A/Service B.
Should I reset Service indicator and check oil?

The CEL light and the Service B are not related. For the CEL you need to pull the codes to see what is wrong. You can buy a cheap code reader, or most auto parts stores will read them for you - at least in the US. Service B is nothing other than a dumb automatic counter in your car. If you get your oil changed, and the person who did it reset your counter, then it will count down a certain number of miles or one year, whichever comes first. MB did that so you will bring it in to pay them a lot of money to do almost nothing. Check into the CEL, but just have somebody change your oil or do it yourself and take a vacation with the money you save.

Cheers. Figured out alright that Service B is just a countdown. Definitely haven't done the mileage, hence the days
Bought a bluetooth OBD2 reader (like my gadgets and was curious!) and these are results:
P0171 - Powertrain System too Lean (Bank1)
P201C - Powertrain
P2029 - Powertrain
Trying to look them up before I get it looked at.
