Power window's safety feature - faulty??

Power window's safety feature - faulty??
Hi,
Just want to know if this is a feature on the W209.
I noticed on the driver's side window, you can only stop the window from winding up once when you block the path of the auto wind (up), but on the passenger's side, you can block it as many times as you want. Is that normal or is mine faulty?
Have also noticed sometimes the windows will not auto wind up fully at times, it tends to go all the way up then back down a quarter as if something as blocked it. It would eventually go up after 1 or 2 attempts. This has happened on both sides but more frequent on the passenger's side though.
