Just found out that a Code Scanner would not connect with the car. Went to three different auto shops with the same result. Of course, without this connection, the car can't be inspected.
Any insight would be appreciated!

Check fuses first. If there's power going to the port then try a different tool. I had this issue once and after going through 3-4 different brand tools I found one that worked. You may also wanna try a bluetooth adapter. They're cheap on ebay and might work.

PSKDUDE...it was a FUSE! How SIMPLE!!! Check yours. Mine was under the hood on the drivers side. The little "cheat sheet" MB provided had it listed under "diagnostic receptacle." 5 AMP.
