Oil Level

Have a 2003 CLK500, at 800 miles it was in for service for check engine light, while there they said my oil was 1 1/2 qts. more then supposed to be & probably put in by the factory, an gave me an oil change with the right amount. Now at 1600 miles the engine oil level light came on & said reduce oil level. I have not added any so how can the level be rising. Any ideas. Also the temp gauge is now at 80 instead of close to 100.

About the only thing that can cause the oil level to increase that much is a blown head gasket or a cracked head/block which is allowing water into the engine.
