[SOLVED] Ashtray Light

thought I'd like the forum know! I took apart the ashtray to replace the bulb which I think most people who bought their cars second hand don't know about! the bulb lights up the transparent ring around the cigarette lighter in the ashtray and also lets in a little light into the ashtray itself! I thought the light bulb was burnt, but after taking apart the ashtray I noticed its the metal that has aged a bit and contact isn't being made correctly. The light itself is installed on the cigarette lighter outlet itself. lots of posts on the internet to get the ashtray out. then its a matter of unhooking the plastic chassis that holds the power outlet. I don't have pics but tis pretty easy to explain if anybody needs help! I used conductive grease after I cleaned the metal contacts a bit and it works great now!
