Clk 350 cnvertible top wont open :nix:
Hi guys
my convertible top just stopped working just nothing happens when i press the button. Only screen comes on speedometer, witch is saying that, truck is in open position (showing picture of opened truck)
But truck is actually closed Is there any sensor that need to be poked ?
or i dont know everything looks fine. What should i do ?
When i click to close soft top (actually its closed) some buzzing sound comes on.

What does the message actually say? I'm pretty sure it does not say "truck" as you typed twice. Does it say trunk partition open? If so then either your trunk partition - the big gray plastic flap - is actually open, or the gas struts that hold it down are weak and need to be replaced.

I read your post again. If it shows an open trunk picture, then the switch that indicates your trunk is closed must be bad. Not sure where that is, but I'm sure Rodney does.

If it thinks the trunk is open, then that sensor is in the trunk lid latch. Check the LED on the trunk button on the driver's door panel - if it's illuminated, then this is the problem. But, I checked and the trunk partition message will also display an icon of an open trunk. The message would be "Please close trunk partition." In that case, it's not the trunk lid but the partition that is not latched. And that is a common problem - the gas struts on the partition panel get weak and stop holding it in place.

If it says "Trunk Partition Open" then view this thread - Easy to fix once you have the replacement parts!
