Read the Manual...

...I'm sure I'm the only one who hasn't read and digested the whole manual but in another chapter of "Read the Manual" I just found out what one of my listed options does...

...I thought I had asked here or elsewhere about the SmartKey and the "top down" feature and somehow I got the thought in my head that they must have skipped this option on my Cabriolet...of course they hadn't...

...while looking something else up today, I found that holding the door lock button down near the driver's door lock SmartKey receiver, the windows all drop and the top goes down (provided it was up in the first place )...

I don't know why I might want to use this feature instead of just getting inside and using the console button but there it is...thought I'd share my prior ignorance

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I mentioned this over on benzworld, but for our "dedicated" single-forum friends, if you want a useful remote operation of the soft-top:

And holding down the Lock button near the door handle will close top and put windows up.
