Parents own an '04 CLK 500 AMG package...I have questions.

What exactly does the amg package give them?

they have a cracked front bumper, and a broken bracket for the foglight.

Mercedes Dealership quoted me on just the fog light grill and I guess some sort of bracket $900.00

the part numbers the gave me are as follows
209-885-01-53 $255
209-885-02-53 $255
209-885-00-65 $326

Thats a crazy price for not including a front bumper, any help to understand is much appreciated.

The AMG sport appearance package was standard on all USA-model V8 CLKs. It included a more aggressive sport-styled front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper, as well as AMG-styled wheels and exhaust tips.

Those two are the same part (just different revisions). It's the black plastic trim that surrounds the fog light. You can probably find it on eBay for much less.

This is internal shock absorbing material that fits inside the plastic skin of the bumper.

There is really no "bracket" for the fog light. It just bolts to the bumper itself and then is covered by a plastic bezel with a chrome trim ring. That bezel is easily removed by three Torx screws holding it to the bumper. Once you remove this, you can see how the fog light housing is attached.

I don't know how much work you want to do (or are capable of), but replacing the bumper and its parts is not difficult. I actually just replaced the bumper on my C240 with a pre-painted one from eBay ($340 delivered, but I suspect the CLK500's will be more expensive). Depending on paint color, you can get away with this. The C240 is light gold, and it's a very forgiving color as far as matches. Other colors may not be so good to work with.
