Definitely looks better with the spoiler. This was a group purchase I was very glad I made.
I'm sure those JL's rock ! I still have a 12" JL Sub sitting in my basement that I just haven't had the time to install. It was in my previous '01 Corvette and it sounded great and blended very well with the standard Bose speakers in that car.
Unfortunately right now, my car is wounded. Some lady ran into the front fender over the holidays. The car is driveable but looks awful and the bent fender scrapes the tire when going over bumps. I haven't driven it since 21 December. It sux to make monthly payments on a car I can't drive ! You can treat your car like a baby but all it takes is one lousy driver to screw it up.
I have a great local body shop that will do the work and I'm confident they'll fix it better than new. Unfortunately, they are having trouble getting the parts from MB.

As for mods, definitely look into a new set of wheels. and a drop. This is a must!

CLK 270 Avantgarde Auto
Neil, suggested mods, easily done in this bad weather:-
1. Change std headlight bulbs and sidelights to PIAA extreme white (£70 healdlights, £8 sidelights) - much whiter light and brighter too - look like Xenons without the blue tinge of cheaper coloured bulbs.
2. Alloy pedals - £26 from MB dealer - part nos below:-
On some models (W203,W209 etc) you have to remove the plastic split pin at the base of the accelerator pedal, slide off the old plain rubber, slide on new alloy pedal face, then resecure.
for autos:
A 170 300 00 04 : gas pedal
A 170 290 01 82 : brake pedal
A 230 430 00 84 : parking brake pedal
for manuals:
A 170 300 00 04 : gas pedal
A 170 290 02 82 : brake pedal
A 170 290 00 82 : clutch pedal
A 230 430 00 84 : parking brake pedal
Yes these part numbers are various models, but clutch, brake and parking brake are universal fit
3. Did you know you can also buy the Bose speaker badges form the dealer , part no. A210 817 08 20, for £1.93 each !

I bet that radio sounds awesome now!!
Man I wish I could get a sweet system like that. But....doesn't look like that will be happening soon.
I can dream about it!

Hi Neil
Looks very cool , makes the car that bit more aggresive , I managed to purchase the command bit required for working the Tv output from Steve [Top Bloke] this is due to be fitted on Wednesday this week .
I wish I had gone for Silver with my CLK as it never really appears to be dirty , but since my last 3 cars were silver i opted for black , I now feel a bit of a silly C????.
With regards to showing photos of my car I still havent cracked the rite set up for sending , can you possibly send details on to me , your car is looking the dogs B--------- .
regrads
