Please check VIN # for Balance shaft issue

Will someone please check my VIN # to see if my '08 CLK350 is affected? I only have 34K miles on her but I would like to be forewarned.
Thanks

Go up about 3-6 posts and you will see a sticky. Post it there and you'll get a response from someone.

Thanks Nigel but I only see your answer (with no help) when I click on the link and sign in... not the entire thread. When I search for 'balance shaft' I get the 41 pages of the thread. Mine is not one of them (last page) and, therefore, your answer is not either so I cn't 'look back 3-6 posts.
I have scanned backwards from the bottom of page 41 with no results for a 'sticky' 3 - 6 post earlier. Or back 10 pages or so.
In short.. I can't find the sticky that would answer my question.

It would be immensely helpful if you would either decode the vin for the engine number AND let me know if it is within range of the balance shaft problem ... OR point my in the right direction to get the engine number AND the info on the balance shaft problem.

Short of that or if you cannot help, I will try to contact Rudeney (Rodney).
Thanks

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Your MY2008 will be beyond the balance shaft problem range.
