What's the situation with the car?
- Is it on the original struts and shocks?
- How many miles?
- Any mods that might affect the ride?
- Is it a firmer ride now than in the past or about the same?
But, in any case, you might want to look into different springs, and/or struts and shocks. I thought normally these cars have a pretty gentle ride..... too gentle and soft for me.
If the struts and shocks are worn/much less effective you may just need to replace them, with OE or softer after market ones.
The sway bars also affect the "ride", but I have not heard of anyone installing a smaller diameter set of sways... Don't know you can even set a smaller diameter set.

It sounds as if your shocks are worn and ineffective. Replace the shocks and struts (OE or after market) and you should have a much different ride experience.
