Anything else?

What's up everyone. I've done what I could to leave my car practical but yet adding the small things.
I have quad exhaust, green filters, fresh brake pads, and removed my spare tire for weight loss. Along with a fresh oil and coolant change.

Are there any lighter rims besides the stock staggered amg wheels I have?
Also, if I'm going to purchase drilled/ slotted brakes what brand should I purchase?
Thanks.

Drilled/ slotted instead? Preferred? Difference?

Anyone recommend springs?<br/>Staying with 17s?

Stock wheels are very heavy. Just about all wheels are lighter. I would copy the stock CLK55 wheel setup (sizes and dimensions) in an aftermarket lightweight rotary forged wheel.

Why do you want to upgrade your rotors? Unless you are on the track I would stick with the solid stock ones for reliability. If you are tracking it then you probably want to upgrade the whole brake system.

Thank you for the advice! I will go ahead and keep my brakes the way they are! Any suggestions for a nice wheel set? Concave or deep dish? 17s-20s?

I have stock 18" AMG that came from the factory. I don't plan on any wheel upgrades but if I were I would choose the TSW nurburgring's. They come staggered in sensible dimensions and are very light and affordable, 18x8 front and 18x9 rear.

Of course it depends on what you like and what you want to get out of it. I don't like showy rims in the slightest and usually look for very lightweight practical options that will improve performance. If you can find a rim around 20lb's you are doing well. Bear in mind most show orientated rims are at least as heavy as stock if not much much more and will hurt performance greatly- acceleration, braking and cornering. I would stick to 18" and definitely not go bigger. All my opinion of course.

I'm not looking to be fancy or anything I want to stay original, prefer to keep the ride and handling.

None for now
I plan to go to the track in a month and I'm going to get Stoptech OEM size slotted rotors (cross-drilled rotors are prone to cracking) with Stoptech brake pads with Motul RBF 600 brake fluid along with Stoptech stainless steel brake lines. Hopefully that should provide a sufficient setup for Willow Springs.
