I just bought the car 12 days ago and this afternoon my ABS light came on, As this occurred the speedometer also stopped working, I gave the brakes a visual all around and they appear to be brand new.....At low speed I sometimes would hear a noise as my tires turned, I just didn't think anything of it because the brake pads look new.....any ideas?

It's likely a bad wheel speed sensor. There's one on each wheel. These are used by both the ABS system, and the speedometer. A proper diagnosis of the ABS system will tell which is the offender.

I have a feeling you are correct sir, thank you for the reply....I just took it for a spin around 4 hours after the light came on, and the ABS light was not present this time and the speedometer was working fine, I'm still gonna get it checked out.....I have feeling you are correct is your assessment, this car has a LOT of electronics.
