Thats why I finally got rid of my CLK 430 (W208). That car spent so much time in the dealer's service dept trying to fix that problem (unsuccessfully) it was absolutely ridiculous.
I LOVE my CLK500, but if that becomes a problem again, I will be done with MB forever!!!!

Thanks. Will be curious to see what my dealer says/suggests as it clearly is not an issue with the leather--it is the springs.
So, only solution, it seems to me, is to replace the entire seat.
Will let you know.

same problem in each of my 208s.
you'd think they'd get it right after a while, wouldn't you?
but because they didn't, i decided that the squeak drowning out my cracking back was better than me listening to my back talk back to me. kidding!

I have 24,000 miles on my car (in 11 months) and so far no squeaks. I hear a little srattle sometimes coming from the passenger side area but Ihaven't figured out what it is yet, it is very subtl though.
