Is this a good Android Navigation for the CLK?

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Andro...360119148.html

My current CLK's system has decent sound compared to my Audi B8 A4, however it lacks many features, such as navigation / screen / bluetooth / ability to play MP3s from a USB stick / backup camera view etc etc....

I'm thinking of purchasing the item in the URL, can anyone provide any information on this? Is it compatible with a 2005 W209 CLK350? I've asked the seller a question and he says as long as the dimensions match up there shouldn't be any problems (260cm x 240cm x 140cm)

Thank you.

You may have some fit issues. These are typically designed for the W203 which has a slightly wider center stack and different bolt pattern. As for anything else about this particular unit, I have no experience to offer.

Hmm what about this? I measured the stock headunit in my car and it seems to match the one in the URL:

There's an audio shop that is charging a 100% compatible unit for $680

Plus $200 for installation!!

I'd rather pay 3-400 and another $70 at a local audio store I know

I think its important i ask you if you know what your getting into. 100% compatible from a Chinese seller is not 100% compatible. There are no 100% compatible units that work with your car if you have a BOSE/Harmon Kardon sound system, you will loose your CD changer too. Replacing the Headunit means loosing the Sound system and that means you'l need an amp to get the same quality sound or better from stock.

You can certainly try it, but the issue is the distance between the padded dash-colored parts of the center stack is slightly narrower on the W209 than the W203. With the pre-facelift model, there was a bezel that surrounded the radio, but the radio itself was identical in the W203 and W209. With the facelift, there is no bezel, so the radio spans the entire distance in the dash. It might fit, but it will appear to be several millimeters wider on either side then the upper control panel and ACC panel that it sits next to. Also, the mount holes are not the same pattern as the W203.

I'm not saying you can't make it work, or that the seller is wrong, but just what you get into when replacing the W209 facelift radio.

I see, thanks everyone for the info. It's quite frustrating because here in korea, we only get really bad "local" 2din navigation / audio systems, and the sound quality is Really bad to say the least, with the UI being crappy and slow.

Hence the Android all-in-one nav system looks soooo good, especially since most (or even all) the reviews i've read say they have very good sound quality and quick response.

The local guy that installs these has a "guarantee" , as well as 1 year warranty, but charges an arm and a leg for the device and installation, so I can either try that route or be an entrepreneur and try to buy one from Aliexpress. I don't think anyone in Korea has tried installing these yet, maybe I will give it a go. Worst case scenario I'm stuck with a brand new Android nav system that I can sell locally
