Ignition Coil

I finally got around toe change the spark plugs. I bought 12 Bosch spark plugs and took them to my guy who is a MB technician.

He checked out my engine and he said I needed an ignition coil and 2 suppressor plugs. what is a suppressor plug? I googled the suppressor plug and it'a a kind of spark plug. But I did bring him all 12 spark plugs"

I would ask him how he knows that one coil is bad and also, which to plugs need to be "resistor" plugs and why the other 10 do not. In fact, if you bought the Bosch platinum plugs, the part number is FRxxxxx so the "R" means "resistor" which is the noise suppression verision.

I bought Bosch FR8DPP33+ as spark plugs.

No sure if this is due to the new plugs or ignition coil or both, the car drives very well. I can feel the engine is smoother and a bit more powerful. Last time I changed the plugs were 72K miles ago.

This guy does excellent work. He also replaced my AC lever kit and stepper motor. The dash and console were removed and put back and all OK, he did not miss a thing.
