Steering Wheel fix

So my steering wheel has a spot where it is starting to deteriorate. I was thinking of buying a leather wrap for it. Any suggestions or other options?

Thanks.

Get it re-wraped in anything you want. You're looking at about 3-400$. If you're not interested in that you can fetch one on ebay for 1-200$ without the airbag.

The leather on the C240 was terrible. I found a place online that sells top-quality recover kits for about $200, but the seller actually talked me out of it - he said it's very difficult and tedious. Of course they do the work, but you have to send them your wheel and it's $400. I found a good condition used one on eBay for $80.

Well i used leather cleaner and got the dirt out of the steering wheel then found acrylic paint that matches the steering wheel color at about 98%. then just spot painting the places where my steering wheel was showing wear using my fingertip. a little at a time then i'd wait about 1 minute for the spot to dry out then rub just a little water into it and that merges the color so it doesn't show. I wouldn't do this though if the steering wheel is in a really bad condition. i just have about 3 cm on each side of the wheel that are a bit rubbed out and they look 80% better.

Here's the place I contacted:

http://www.aglausa.com/p/home.html

I have not used them myself, but I know others who have and they seem to know their stuff.

Thanks Rodney. It seems this place wants to give me a loaner wheel while they wrap mine. My mechanic said he would not take my wheel off and warned me to watch out for the steering angle sensor if I took it someplace else. I am going to look for someone local to re-wrap it.
