'05 Roof Will Not Go Up
I had to change my windshield. They opened the roof all the way and removed the top trim to change the windshield. Now the roof won't go down.
I had a similar problem a few years ago. I did something to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery and the roof started working again.
I disconnected the battery for a minute. No change. I disconnected the battery for 2 hrs and still no change. I worked the windows up and down, no help.
Anyone know what to do? It is going to rain tomorrow and I need the car.

Hi, I get the message to go to the shop. I have manually raised the roof. It still give me a message that the roof is open and not locked when it is. I also can't open the trunk.

Thanks for replying here and on Benzworld. The roof was completely retracted when he started on the windshield. I didn't have any previous problems with it.
When I press or lift the roof button I immediately get a red warning on the dash info display to bring the car to the shop. That's all it shows. No movement, motor noises or clicking.
I am sure you are correct about the micro switch in the header. Do you know where is it or where the wire connection is to check?
I current used to the procedure in the manual to manually raise the roof. I followed it explicitly and trunk doesn't open. Which in the manual says there is something wrong. When I sit at idle I get a white warning that the Top is being opened. When I drive I get a red warning the Top is Unlocked. When I shut the ignition I get a Top Being Opened.
Since the pressure relief is open I know I shouldn't work the roof switch now. Is there a way to open the trunk?
I hope with a bit of guidance I can locate, reconnect or replace the switch and be back in operation.
