Headlight assembly bracket

I popped my hood and noticed that one of the headlight assembly bracket is missing. I checked and the part number is 2098260111.

Not sure when this bracket was lost but everything seems ok without this part. How important is that part?

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I think that is what is often called a "tab" and they break during front-end collisions. Without it, the headlight won't fall out, but it might be loose and vibrate.

Thanks for the answer.
I checked the last time that part of the car was worked on, it was 4years ago! I guess all ok then.
