keyless Go

Ok. How do I get my shifter and start push button off. I have searched the Internet but can't come up with any directions to disasimble it. Please someone. I'm pretty mechanical but haven't been able to figure it out.
My keyless go button doesn't work. I think I can fix it myself if I can get it apart. Of course a new complete shifter is only 400.00 dollars if I can't fix the button.
Everything else on my 2005 CLK500 Cabriolet Is in perfect running order

Getting the shifter off is easy. The button itself is a different matter since I don't think it's a separate part. But to get your shifter off, open the ashtray and pull/pry up the front edge of the big trim piece the shifter is mounted in. It has two clips at the front and two hooks at the rear so it comes up and forward. Reach under and disconnect the shifter light wire connector and turn the black plastic ring on the shifter shaft 1/4 turn to release. Then just pull it up.

Removing shifter for KeyLess go button

Thank you YidNey. I'll give that a try next weekend when I get back to my shop. I've been dealing with using my key instead of my KeyLess go button for a year atleast. I want my lazyness back. I don't want to get my key out of my pocket anymore
