Projector headlights anyone ??

I have a 07 clk63 and I have the stock headlight assemblies ( non projectors ) with HID headlamps installed . My question is if anyone has bought projector headlight assemblies and have swapped them out ? If so , what brand is recommended and is it easy to DIY . Thanks in advance

I put the Depo quad projectors on my CLK550. I have HID bulbs in both the high and low beams. They are decent, but the quality is definitely not up to genuine MBZ/Hella standards.

Anyone know where I can get the black HID headlamps for my car with OEM HIDs?

Rudeney , did you used to have the regular halogens stock ? Just asking because some housings say they need to be installed for the stock bi-xenon . And is it even possible to get oem projector housings of you didn't have the xenon option ?

Had had the standard halogen headlights. There is no difference in fit or wiring between halogen or HID units. However, there is a setting int he car that must be changed for the type installed (halogen or HID) or else you will get bulb errors. However, you can get aftermarket HID kits with "error cancelers" that will fool the car into regsitering it as a halogen bulb if you can't get the setting change (which requires SDS to code).

Hi all

Can anyone tell me if changing the housing itself from the original to an after market projector housing is easy? Is it unscrew, and then screw on the new one ?
Or do you need to remove the bumper etc to get to the housing?

this is what I want to get:

You must remove the bumper.
