PO600 code
So I been having an issue with my ABS and check engine light coming on. When I disconnect the battery its goes away for a few day maybe a week. It comes back on while driving, power steering goes out and shifter gets stuck in P. A few time my car actually stalled out when coming to a stop or slowing down for a light. I believe after disconnecting the battery, it came back on when slowing down for a light. I did some work on my car, replacing upper/lower control arm, thought maybe i damage the wheel speed sensors, replaced them and still have same problem. Pep boys did a code check, when I had my last oil change and came up with the code PO600. From what I understand its some type of communication problem, but could be many things. Anyone have some insight on this?

P0600 is actually one of ofur possible DTCs:
Event P2030 - [4] CAN message from control unit N15/5 (Electronic selector lever module control unit) or A80 (Intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT) is missing or faulty. Communication fault / See also CAN status in freeze frame data (P0600)
Event P2036 - [4] No or incorrect CAN message from control unit N47-5 (ESP control unit)
Communication fault / See also CAN status in freeze frame data (P0600)
Event P2037 - [4] No or incorrect CAN message from control unit N15/3 (ETC [EGS] control
unit) Communication fault / See also CAN status in freeze frame data (P0600)
Event P203E - [4] No CAN message from instrument cluster or message faulty.
Communication fault / See also CAN status in freeze frame data (P0600)
My guess is that the ESP module is going bad. (DTC P2036). You'd need a proper diagnosis with a tool that reads MBZ DTCs to know for sure. SDS can do that as well as a few other high-end tools. Those can also pull codes fromt he ESP module to see what's really going on.

Where is the electronic selector level module control unit? Is that the lever behind the passenger side wheel attached to the front strut bar? If so, I believe that might be the problem. When replacing the control arms, the could of been damaged or the lever is incorrectly set?

The electronic selector lever is the gearshift. I am not familiar with the iCarsoft scanner, but if it claims to read the other systems (SRS, TCU, EGS, ESP, etc.) then it may get these advance codes for you.
