SRS -DTC Code 9248
Well the good new is that the inexpensive iCarSoft 980 scanner reads all the proprietary MBZ codes.
The bad news is I got the dreaded 9243 - The resistance value in the ignition circuit containing component R12/10 (front passenger side airbag ignition squib) is too high.
I have tried removing the back of the seat but could not see any wires not connected. I was a little shy about playing with them too much. Last thing I need is to accidentally fire off the airbag.
I cleared the code several times but is came right back on so obviously there is some issue.
I am just looking for thoughts since reading on one thread that it was over $1,000 for one guy to get his fixed at the dealership.
Thanks

First of all, with the ignition off and the key removed (or key at least 20 feet away inf you have KeylessGo) then there is no fear of accidental airbag deployment - the circuit is not powered with the ignition switched off.
In mine, the wire does not come unplugged, but it's just very tight and tugs at the squib so it loses contact or just increases the resistance in the wire with a loose connection. I removed the seat back and the plastic trim on the side hinge and traced the wire from the side airbag to the controller under the seat. I moved it around and cut on zip-tire holding it in place to gain some slack. I made sure to route it so that it retains that slack and does not get pinched.
