Heat Seat problem??

Hi,

I just bought a 2003 CLK55 W209 from my friend. He said that the passenger heat seat stopped working first. The button does not light the LED's when you press it. About 3 months later, the drivers side was not working too - same problem.

Do you guy know what's the problem? Any suggestion to fix it?

Thanks!

NO LONGER ACTIVE
The button on the upper control panel sends a signal to the seat controller to activate the seat heating element. The seat controller sends a signal back to the UCP to illuminate the LEDs for the heating level. If the seat heating element breaks, the seat controller recognizes that and won't signal the UCP. Unfortunately, repairing/replacing the seat hating element is not an easy job. I'ts integrated into the upholstery.
