CLK55AMG W209 Upgrade Suggestions?
Hello,
Any CLK55AMG W209 people around? Or just people who are experienced with upgrades for cars like mine. The car is stock besides resonator delete. Will someone give me some suggestions of some "starter" upgrades that are not crazy expensive. I am looking to work my way up. If any could get back to me on where to start and the amount of money for certain projects that would be great.
Thanks

H&R springs are about $250.
An ECU tune is about $400.
Opening up your exhaust (i.e. secondary cat and/or muffler delete) should be $100-$300 depending on the shop.
Enjoying the car- priceless (or is it?).

Thanks for your suggestions, I am not really interested in lowering the car. What gains would be expected from the ECU tune? What company has serviced the most users here?

3hp for the tune, 9 if you are lucky. Basically don't expect much from a generic off the shelf tune. The m113 is expensive to get power out of. Long tube headers, LSD, custom intake, ported heads, larger throttle body, ported intake, custom dyno tune... And/or a kleemann supercharger. $$$
Eurocharged or oetuning are probably the most popular for tunes.

I would replace your radiator, just to be safe. Inexpensive insurance. Also with a car as old as yours I would replace the timing chain adjuster; again inexpensive insurance. I replaced both on my car.
