Convertible vs. Coupe Windshield Dimensions?
Does the convertible have a longer windshield that the coupe? Reason I'm asking is the side trim on my 2009 coupe has a tiny stone chip (I'm OCD
. I found a pair on ebay from a scrapper and got them and their about 4" too long. His listing said it came from a 2005 CLK 500 Convertible. I missed the convertible part when I ordered but the little parts guide said it fits my car.

E-bay fitment guides are not very reliable. I would not have thought the vert windshield was 4" taller though. That's a lot.

I don't believe the cabriolet's glass is that much longer, if any. The trim arrangement is different, though. On the cabriolet, there is a 3-inch tall trim piece running horizontally across the top of the glass. On the coupe, there is no trim piece like that. Glass ends pretty much at the sheet metal for the roof. The vertical side trim pieces on the glass for the cabriolet run beside that top horizontal trim piece, and end flush with its top edge, which would probably be three to four inches longer than the end of the glass on the coupe.
