Steering angle sensor replacement in 2005 clk320 convertible
The mechanic diagnosed the ESP error in my 2005 CLK320 convertible was due to faulty steering angle sensor. He was using autologic.
I have the new part here.
The question I had was to after it is installed, do I have to take it to MB dealer for them to let the computer know that there is a new steering angle sensor?
I have seen the youtube on how to replace this part not specific to W209 chassis.
If anyone has done this, please post the pictures and procedure or email to

No coding is necessary. It will probably need to be calibrated, though. To do this, start the engine, then while in park, turn the steering wheel full lock to lock about 3 times.
