2012 C63 (P31)/2006 CLK350 Coupe
Good day!
After some searching I found DIY's but nothing that addresses this specific occurence;
I just replaced my combination switch in my 2006 CLK350 Coupe. Everything seemed fine. I don't believe I messed anything up with the clock spring or the angle sensor. When I put it all back together and went for a test drive there were no ESP or SRS warning lights, seems great.
Trouble is I went from having no intermittent/rain sensing wipers (broken blue wire on old switch), to not having ANY functions controlled by the switch (e.g. no turn signals, wipers/washer spray, or high beams). In the WIS I recall seeing a step to connect to SDS and clear fault codes. Is it expected to need SDS or has anyone else experienced this end result?
Thanks for any insight. Peace.

I kinda figured; thanks for confirming.
All the electrical connections between the various switches are made as the column assembly is put together so I'm not sure how I could have messed that up; I'll def look back into it though. Anything in particular I should look for in my handy-work?
I just hate to think I got a completely bum switch. And I procrastinated this task for sooo long I can't even remember where I got the dang thing so if it's really a dud...

So I found the issue. Don't know if anyone else has had this but hopefully this helps someone out there someday. The pinout on my new switch is not the same, they are recessed into a shroud around them where my car needs one where the pins are protruding farther. The part number for my 2006 CLK is
A 203 545 01 10, the part number I got is A 000 545 23 10. Not sure where the 000 is used or if it's older but clearly are just slightly different.
