3rd brake light fix?

My third brake light stops working every now and then . Is there a DIY fix or do i need to get a new one?

Not really anything to fix unless a wire is broken. They are pretty much just plug and play. I got one on ebay for around $100 US

If it is intermittent it is either a broken wire or a plug with a bad connection. pop the cover and trace the wires around.

NO LONGER ACTIVE

It's a weak/broken solder on the circuit board inside the LED bar. You can cut it open and fix it, but honestly, I'd just spend $80-$100 on eBay and get a replacement.

Yea I went that route . I just ordered a new one waiting to get it . I thought maybe it will be am easy simple fix but I am not going to bother.
