Engine mount sleeve/cover??

I'm going to be replacing my engine mounts. The right is leaking.
Question:Is the outer part of the mount just a sleeve or cover? Can I reuse the old sleeve/cover? I'm asking because pictures of new Lemforder mounts seem to indicate that the outer cover or sleeve just slides over the actual mount and the cover would cost an extra $20.00. If I can save $20 why not?

Are you talking about the metal heat shield or the white teflon heat shield?

The white teflon shield. I can purchase the mount with and without the teflon shield. My car is a 2005 and the right mount is leaking. The right side looks to be a lot easier to replace than the left. Can you get them both replaced without removing the exhaust pipes?

You want the teflon heat shields. The mounts fail as much from heat as from material. The teflon is a better insulator than the metal shield. You'll have to drop the exhaust to change them.
