Locked Key in Trunk with Alarm Set
I wanted to put this thread out there just in case the same situation occurs for someone else.
We only have 1 remote key to the car.
Alarm set by remote. Opened trunk by remote. Left keys in trunk and closed trunk.
When Alarm is set door UNLOCK button is inactivated. Also Trunk button does not work as well. Had to get locksmith to use long rod and pull on door handle 2x.
Alarm went off for about 30 seconds when the door opened. I popped the hood and disconnected both battery cables.
Went inside the car and on the left side of the dash is a fuse box. I pulled fuses 30 and 31(40 & 20 amp).
I waited for about 2-5 minutes and then connected both cables back to the battery. Alarm started to sound again but also the windows rolled down about 2 inches.
I tried the trunk button inside however it was still inactive.
I went to the trunk and pulled up on the handle and the trunk opened and I was able to shut off the alarm with the remote.
Put fuses back in and start the car. When I turned the key the car took an additional second to start.
BTW, ordering mechanical key ASAP.

Yeah, I was distracted. Luckily the car was parked at my son's middle school towards the back of the building . This happened around 8pm night and I didn't get the trunk open till around 11:30 this morning .
