Something's missing.....

I've recently acquired a 2006 CLK350 as stablemate for the C300 4MATIC.
Although excellent overall, there are two things missing.

In the trunk, the foam tray that sits on top of the Cheerio spare has an indentation in the lower left quadrant that looks like it holds some sort of adapter. Can't pinpoint what that might be.

Also, opening the glove box door shows two clips above the CD changer that look like they held something, but look the wrong shape for the hex wrench in the trunk holder. Another mystery.

Any info from someone with a complete car is greatly appreciated.

The glove box clips are for a pen. Not an MB pen, just whatever you want to put there. As for the trunk, yeah, that has indentations that serve no purpose, at least not for these cars.

Thanks for the info...... since I don't have fuses or a fuse puller (listed in the manual) maybe the fuse puller goes in the tray?

The Fuse Puller is in the fuse box.

There is also a fuse puller and diagram in the right side of the dash when the plastic cover is removed.

Lol it's a pen holder 😂😂. You'll discover a lot of stuff. I just noticed that if you press EJ on the older style radio the screen drops for a casset.

The car was missing the pen? I'd sell it
