CLK models/engines

Hi,
I got a chance to look at info in a MB dealer's Workshop info system, which has both new CLK and E class info in it.

It shows

Model ID Name Engine
209.361 CLK240 112.912
209.365 CLK320 112.946
209.375 CLK500 113.968

From memory, the 112 is the 6 cylinder, and the 113 the 8 cylinder engine.

Can you elaborate on this kit being optional?? Why would this optional if it's AMG??

What i was informed of by our MB dealer here was that AMG have add-on kompressor kits for the CLK200, CLK320, and the CLK55. Strangely enough, kits for the CLK240, and CLK500 are not available!

I was even shown the service manual for AMG equipment for these models and exactly how they are installed. But as expected, the prices were ridiculous!

To my total surprise as well, a freind of mine who has recently taken delivery of an SL500 has placed an order for a cam shaft kit from AMG including the upgraded instrument cluster that he had to order as well cause the idiot had installed a Brabus VMAX unit and was getting wrong readings all over the place from his onboard comp. But I gotta admit, our local MB dealers have finally gone all out attack as far as performance equipment are concerned and they have made it clear that they're there to help ( BIG TIME ) provided you can pay up!

All our equipment and spec are as per Euro specs.
